Cruisin' around...

Couple weeks ago it was time for annual cruising around my home district. How much fun we had while drivin around on my friend's '46 Chevy!

Classic Motor Show 2012

Few weeks ago we went to Classic Motor Show in Lahti to promote our own hot rod n' kustom car show called Turku Kustom Show. Check out http://www.turkukustomshow.com/
This is what our stand looked like...
.
Kustom Show banner attached, check.
Tiki-desk where to lean on, check.
300 kilos of lead in the trunk of Hudson, check...

.
Recognize this motorcycle?
It's 1912 New Imperial... Looks like something that was seen on Donald Duck comics during fifties...

.
Few cars parked outside, Dodge...

.
When was last time you saw '59 Oldsmobile station wagon?

.
Bit 90's look (such as painted grille and headlight buckets) on this '35 Ford, but whitewall tires help a lot. Nice!

Headin' home at sundown...

Hot Rod n Rock Show

Few weeks ago we went to check first indoor carshow for this season. Other carshows exists here in Finland, but this show in Tampere is best of them.

One of the most interesting car on that show was this Plymouth. It was built to this show car stance in early sixties, and it is still in same shape! It has all parts and tricks that showcar had to have by that time.
.
When we got home, I noticed that I had not taken any photos of this whole car, only engine, so this photo is copyright of my friend Mika, also known as "Tulilanka".

And the engine! Notice that carburators are "backwards", usually they are mounted floatbowl headin' to just opposite way. Linkage is also something what I'd prefer to pay attention to; there's one rod coming through firewall, it turns another, parallel, rod which has bearings (!!!), and that one pushes another rods which are attached to carb linkage. Very inspirational!

It's been a while...

...since last update. But unlike these fellers, I've been busy with something bit more important...
